Desi Girls Summer 2015 - It's a wrap

Girls,
I hope the past 15 weeks was an enriching and rewarding experience to many of you as it was for me. Out of the 60 or so girls who signed up for Desi Girls, around 16 of you completed the half marathon. Only one dropped out earlier in the season due to an injury. The rest couldn't continue Desi Girls due to conflicts or lack of motivation. We had a modest success rate of around 25% which was not too bad considering it is difficult to push a Desi Girl out of her comfort zone :)
Many of you asked, What's next? You can continue to run through fall and take it indoors when the weather turns colder. Here is a listing of upcoming races in the Chicagoland area. Give at least one of them a try.
If you are like me and dread being outside when it is less than 50 degrees, try Cross training, Yoga etc so you stay fit and flexible throughout the long winter months.

I feel incredibly blessed to have known all of you and having the opportunity to support you in your fitness quest. I cannot wait for 2016 season to start. Let us just hit the PAUSE button now. I will contact you again during Spring Break 2016 so we can UNPAUSE and re-start our journey.
