Directions to Mile 0 of Red Trail in Busse woods
Heading East on Higgins Road from Schaumburg, go past the entrance ramps to IL-53. Make an immediate right into Busse Woods. It is adjacent to the red Arrow on top of the image below
The road curves around for a mile before you see a sign "BOAT RAMP NO PICNICS BEYOND THIS POINT". See picture below. Go past it to the parking lot on right.
At start of Mile 0, you will see a Map that reads "Busse Lake Boating Center". We start walking there. See picture below. REMEMBER WE ARE ON RED.
PLAN B. If Entrance to Grove 17-25 is Closed
If the South Entrance on Higgins Road (Grove # 17-25) is closed, Enter through North Entrance near Grove #31. Walk West for 0.2 miles and you will reach Mile 6. It is our alternate starting point
