Desi Girls Summer 2015 - Week 14

Girls,

It was a saturday to remember. I was worried about two things - The alternate route and the ability of the Girls who were going to attempt 13.1 miles to complete without any injury. It turned out this alternate route had more shade and the four girls - Anu Sanjeev, Anu Krishnan, Anitha Vinu and Roopa Joshi completed 13.1 miles in style. Please join me in congratulating them. 13.1 miles is not for the faint of the heart. As you have been discovering in the past few weeks, long distance running takes stamina, endurance, motivation and courage. Kudos to all of them.

Remember that the rest of you are not too far off from this goal. In two more saturdays, you will be on your way to this proud milestone. Next saturday - Aug 29th, we will attempt a 20K (12.4 miles) followed by 13.1 miles on Sept 5th.
