Desi Girls Summer 2015 - Week 12 - Midweek Chat

Girls,
We will be running 11 miles this saturday (not 12). We will go 5.5 miles and come back. The Desi Girls water cooler will be at the 5.5 mile mark. You can use it as a cue to return. Let me add my routine disclaimer: If you feel you are not ready for the rigors of 11 miles, please feel free to alter the distance. The choice is yours.
We crossed the 10 mile mark last saturday. We are now certified "Long Distance Runner". You can proudly brag so. Chafing comes along with those bragging rights. It is long distance running's most common WAR WOUND. It is real and it has happened to me multiple times in the past. Check out these tips on how to prevent and treat chafing wounds. Don't laugh at the picture of the man with nipples covered in blue tape. It is a true problem faced by male runners. For once, we got the better side of the deal. YEAHH!!!!
I am figuring out the best way to hand over the T Shirts to all of you who ordered them. I will send a separate email about the logistics.
It is very inspiring to see so many of you put in so much commitment and effort into this 13.1 mile journey. Every time I see one of you at the finish line, it motivates me more and more.
