Girls,
15K this saturday !!!! Are you excited? Nervous?
DIRECTION STRATEGY for completing 15K: We will complete the entire 7.3 mile RED loop. Then, we will go from Mile 0 to Mile 1 of RED Trail and come back to Mile 0 (2 miles). So, the total will be 7.3 + 2 miles = 9.2 miles which is 15K.
MENTAL STRATEGY for completing 15K: Break it down into smaller chunks in your head so you are not spooked by the distance. You can think of it as walking three 5Ks or completing a 7.3 mile loop plus extra distance. Keep telling yourself that you can do it. Make sure you are walking with other Desi Girls so they can motivate you when you get tired.
FUELING STRATEGY for completing 15K: It will be a hot morning. Make sure to stay hydrated. I will have a water / Gatorade Station around mile 5.5 with the DESI GIRLS sign. Nevertheless, please bring a small water bottle with you.
