Girls,
We are all set for our 8 mile walk/jog/run this saturday. We will go 4 miles and return to our starting point making it a total of 8 miles. It is EASY paced which means you can complete the distance at whatever pace you are comfortable with. I noticed during our last Saturday's EASY run that few of you were jogging. While you are welcome to do it if you are comfortable, please be aware that it is not necessary.
8 miles is a long distance so please carry a small watter bottle with you so you do not become dehydrated.
Week over week, we are adding miles slowly but steadily. Here are four ways to add miles to your running routine in a safe manner. The key is to slow down and increase mileage gradually.
"I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" is a song written and performed by Scottish duo The Proclaimers. The song reached the top five on both the US Billboard and Canadian charts. The song is rated as the top one-hit-wonders of all time. One of the lines of the song is "But I would walk 500 miles / And I would walk 500 more / To be the man who walked 1, 000 miles"
Why do I mention this? We have a lot of one-time-wonder Desi Girls. I have seen you at Busse Woods just one solitary time and then you have gone MIA. At least the Proclaimers walked 500 miles.
One-time-wonder Girls, you know who you are. If you truly want to change your body for the better, the first step out of the door is very critical. What is your excuse? Unless you are on vacation or injured so bad that you cannot step out the door I cannot think of any reason why you are not making a more sincere attempt to join us.
I am even willing to show up at your doorstep on Saturday morning or to give you a wake up call if you promise to join us. Any takers?
LAST CALL for T Shirt ordering. Let me know if you want me to resend the Survey link. I will place the order this weekend.
Keep Moving. CHEERS.
