Girls,
By now you must be walking between 25-40 minutes during weekdays. When supplemented with the saturday long run, it is an effective method to stay fit.
If you are using walking/jogging/running to lose weight, I bet you will be very interested in reading this article that analyzes the topic of which form of exercise is better to lose weight - Endurance Training (like going for long runs) or Strength Training (like lifting weights) The article's conclusion may not be a surprise to anyone but please pay attention to the tips at the bottom of the page. Our next long run is 4 mile Brisk on this saturday - Fourth of July. I recognize it is a holiday and you may have a lot of other plans. If possible, please plan on joining us.
