Girls,

I was pleasantly surprised last saturday. Lot more girls ran at Busse woods than expected. Also, many spouses joined. As you all know DESI GIRLS is all inclusive. No body is excluded - Spouses and children are welcome too.

We are in week 4 of our 15 week program. By now, you should be walking 25-40 minutes every day. Remember, weekday walks are TIME driven and Saturday walk is DISTANCE driven. Make it a daily habit to dedicate some ME time to take care of yourself. A walk is a perfect way for you rejuvenate your mind and body.

While Runners tend to concentrate on their form, nutrition, gear etc invariably the importance of good breathing is overlooked. As we exert more, our breathing becomes shallow and hard and we end up compensating with breathing through our mouth resulting in lung fatigue.

Here are some wonderful tips and techniques to improve breathing and expand lung power.
