Desi Girls Summer 2015‏ - Three Week Countdown

Hello Girls,

--- I started my training for this running season today. I have signed up for the RocknRoll Chicago Half Marathon (RnR CHI) on July 19th. I ran six miles in Busse woods this morning. The adrenaline rush was back. YESSSS !!!. Running on the treadmill during winter had made my runs very static since I could alter the speed and incline on a whim. My long run today reminded me that you operate under different set of parameters in the woods. I was out of breath a lot but I enjoyed every minute of it.

--- Today marks the three week countdown to our training start date. Remember, our training starts on May 24th (on your own) but our first long run is on May 30th. Consult your spreadsheet for specifics and let me know if you have any questions.

--- Girls who do not have prior long distance walking/running experience please note that in addition to good shoes you will need a comfortable sports bra and moisture wicking Shirt. Target has good, inexpensive styles in the C9 brand but you can check out other stores too.

--- It may be a good idea if all of us got a "DESI GIRL 13.1" Custom made T Shirt. It will be a lot easier for us to identify fellow Desi Girls. If anybody is willing to help me with implementing this idea, please let me know. I can certainly use some help. :)
