Desi Girls Summer 2015 - Four Week Countdown

Hello Girls,
We begin our four week countdown to May 24, 2015 when we start our training for Desi Girls 2015.
With the improved weather, I hope you are motivated enough to walk longer than normal and are keeping up with eating healthy.
A very important component to walking/running injury-free is having a good shoe. Buying a shoe because of its brand name, color, sale price etc are not acceptable if you are serious about your improving your fitness this summer. Please do yourself a favor and get fitted for a shoe in a store that specializes in walking/running shoes. This will be the best gift you give yourself this entire year. I am not a salesperson for Dick Ponds but I recommend them highly. They videotape you walking and suggest shoes based on your gait. They have recently moved to Algonquin and Huntington intersection. CHECK them out.
I read an interesting ARTICLE recently about the "25 Golden Rules of Running". A lot of them may not apply to novice runners but its definitely worth a read.
