Desi Girls Summer 2015 - Six Week Countdown

Hello Girls,
Thank you for all the support and encouragement to continue to the second edition of Desi Girls.
13.1 miles is not for the faint of the heart. It takes time, commitment and dedication. If you give me all three - It is my promise to you that we will improve our fitness, have fun and kickass this summer (YEAHHH).
We have roughly six weeks to go before May 24. You can do certain things to prep your mind and body.
1. Cut down on junk food. Make sure you eat balanced meals.
2. Take brisk walks around the neighborhood. Take stairs instead of riding elevators. Park your car far and walk the extra few yards.
3. Surround yourself with positive energy. Try to distance yourself from negative situations, whiners and Complainers.
HERE is an interview with Molly Sheridan whose story might easily resonate with every one of us. She started running on a whim when she was 48 years old. Eight years later, she became the first American woman to attempt and complete La Ultra, a 138-mile, high-altitude Himalayan footrace with temperatures ranging from over 100°F to below zero.
I was so inspired by her story that I literally ran an extra mile today.
Keep Moving. The best is yet to come.
